I'm Samantha
and I'm so glad you're here.
I specialize in precision haircutting, with a focus on creating shapes that work for your hair and your everyday life. When a haircut alone can’t quite achieve the fullness we’re looking for, I also offer sewn-in density extensions. More than anything, I love helping women understand their hair and what it actually needs.
I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, spent nine years in San Francisco, and moved to Houston in 2019 with my native Houstonian husband. Houston is very much home now.
I’m also a working mom of two little boys, so I fully understand that your hair has to work in your actual life. You can love beautiful hair and also not want to spend forever styling it every morning.
I believe a great haircut should look great freshly cut and continue to work as it grows. It should grow into another haircut—not just an awkward shape you tolerate until your next appointment.
I’m very straightforward. If I think something will work for your hair I’ll tell you. If I don’t, I will tell you that too. You don’t need to know exactly what to ask for or have the right hair terminology. Tell me what you love, what’s driving you crazy, and what you wish were different. It’s my job to translate that into a plan so you can understand your hair, what it needs, and why I’m recommending what I am.
I’ve been obsessed with hair for as long as I can remember. I’ve been doing hair professionally for 17 years and knew I wanted to be a hairstylist since I was 12. After beauty school I completed an intensive three-year training program at one of San Francisco’s top salons. And have spent my career continuing to learn and refine my craft. I love all haircuts, but I especially love working with hair collarbone length and above—from bobs and bixies to cropped pixies- I’m here for it!
I also specialize in sewn-in extensions for density, not necessarily length. Sometimes you don’t need a completely different haircut—you just need a little more hair in the right places.I also LOVE a haircut problem! I look at hair as an artistic geometry problem to be solved. I will support you in every step of the equation to transform your hair into the end result you desire. Whether it’s adding extensions to adjust the shape while your hair grows or removing weight in areas where you’d like it to be “just a little bit” softer, I am dedicated to the process. I live for the tiny details, making sure each extension stitch is as clean as possible and each hair in every haircut is accounted for.
When I am not behind the chair, I am soaking in all of the family moments with my husband, two sons (Where are all my boy mamas at?!) and our tiny toy poodle Vino. My husband’s three siblings all live within a one mile radius of us and I couldn’t be more grateful that my boys are surrounded by the most loving aunts, uncles and cousins. I can’t live without iced coffee and love a fancy craft cocktail. A hot yoga class is my happy place. Travel feeds my soul whether it’s a quick weekend road trip or a long flight to Europe. Please share all of your past and future trips with me while in my chair! I want to hear every detail and recommendation.
